What is Miswak?
In the Islamic world, a natural tree called Miswak (scientific name: SALVADORA PERSICA) has been used as a toothbrush for thousands of years.
It is said that Miswak also has antibacterial, whitening and breath-odor eliminating effects, and the founder of Islam, Muhammad, encouraged the usage of Miswak by using it himself and as a religious practice for basic oral hygiene in Islam. Even today, Miswak is sold around mosques in order to clean the mouth before praying, and many Muslims carry them in their pockets for ready use. The tradition of over a thousand years has still been retained.
Technology of Miswak filaments
We have spent more than four years developing the Miswak filament. Natural Miswak ingredients are combined with a filament based on PBT raw material.
We are particular about combining the whole natural Miswak, not the extract. The filament is processed to be tapered so that it is gentle on the gums.
